WHY TEXTS BY BEES?

David Slot obtained his master's degree in Literary Studies at the University of Amsterdam, specializing in 80s feminist science fiction and the ways it thinks about agriculture. He is an avid beekeeper and has two hives standing on an allotment in the Nieuwe Bijenpark, Amsterdam, where he spends his summers sweating in a bee suit.

Bee texts is part of a broader research project on bees and beekeepers' productivities together. Currently, David is working on how animal fictions can help us rethink dwelling as an interspecies process.
